"From the start, Emily was so friendly and wanted to hear our ideas and share her own. Despite the intermittent rain, we managed to get some stunning outdoor shots. She managed to capture so many special moments we wouldn't have seen otherwise and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!"

Please find below my usual FAQs, as well as some information relating to COVID-19.
What if we have to change our wedding date due to Covid?
If you have to make changes to your wedding date due to the current pandemic, I will endeavor to reschedule to your new date. If I am not able to cover your new wedding date, you will receive a full refund of any balance/deposit paid.
What if Covid affects you and you can't photograph our wedding?
If I cannot cover your wedding due to becoming ill or having to isolate, I will be able to provide a photographer to attend in my place. There will not be any changes to the service provided or cost of photography.
Can you offer any discount for shorter coverage or fewer people attending?
As government guidelines and legislation seems ever changing, I will amend the package prices to reflect the service provided on an individual basis.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Guildford and mostly cover areas in Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex, but we have gone further a field, so just ask!
How do we book you?
First you need to get in touch to see if we are free on your wedding date. You can do this by email or phone and we can arrange a free, no obligation consultation where we will discuss your wedding requirements.
If after the consultation you decide you would like to book us, we request a £50 non refundable deposit to secure your booking.
How much will my wedding photography cost?
All prices are listed on our Wedding Packages page. You can choose whichever package best suits your needs.
When will we receive our photos?
I always send a few preview images as soon as possible after your wedding to keep you going, and
you will receive your full set of digital images within 4 weeks of your wedding day.
We want to use some images for 'thank you' cards and need to get them ordered before 4 weeks, can we have them earlier?
I'm more than happy to send you files to use for 'thank you' cards before I deliver your full set of images.
Are there any extra costs?
There are definitely no 'hidden costs'! Should you wish to purchase additional services or products that are not covered in your wedding day package, these will be discussed and clearly presented for you.
When do we have to pay you?
I request a £50 non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding date within the first 2 weeks of your initial booking request. Full payment is required 6 weeks before your wedding day. This can be paid in one go, or we can discuss spreading the cost in the months leading up to the 6 week mark if that's preferable to you.
Are you insured?
Most definitely! I will happily provide copies of insurance certificates for you, or your wedding coordinator as requested.
Who owns the photos?
I own the copyright to the photos (as I'm the one that took them), but you have full entitlement to use them for personal and non-commercial use. So that means you can get digital files printed, use them as your screen saver, share them with friends etc...If any images are used on a public forum (i.e. website or social networking site), I would be grateful for credit to be given to Picture Purple Photography, and my Instagram Profile (@picturepurple.co.uk) Facebook page (Picturepurple) and hashtag (picture_purple_photography) linked where possible.
What happens if we cancel our wedding, or change our mind about booking you - do we get our money back?
If you cancel prior to the 6 weeks leading up to your wedding day you will lose your £50 booking fee deposit. If you cancel within the 6 weeks leading up to your wedding day, you will be refunded a proportion of the cost. Full details will can be found in our cancellation policy document, which will be included in your documentation.
What if it rains?
You can plan your wedding to the tiniest of details, but you can’t affect the weather, and even the Great British Summer can be wet and rainy! We will always have a contingency plan for bad weather, which we will discuss with you when we visit your venue(s).
You don’t need bright sun and blue skies to get great photographs of your wedding. Some of our favourite shots come from weddings where it’s rained all day - and who doesn’t love a moody looking sky or a rainbow!
Part of our job is to be flexible, read the day, stay a step ahead of everything so we don’t miss anything, and most of all seize the moment, so we’ll encourage you to pop outside with us during any dry spells with our bridal brollies. We’ll help you gather up and arrange your dress so it doesn’t get ruined - but if you’re up for jumping in puddles with wellies on, we’re up for photographing it for you!
What if you are taken ill or die and can't cover our wedding photography?
If I die before, or on the way to your wedding day, I may pop along in spirit but I definitely won't be there in body!
In the unlikely event of my early demise, my second photographer (Kirstie) will be able to put her grief to one side and cover your wedding photography for you.
Joking aside - I have never yet missed a wedding due to illness. Should I be unable to cover your wedding for any reason, I am able to provide a replacement photographer(s) from a bank of professional photographers that I know and trust.
When should we book you?
Whenever you're ready! Some people book a year in advance, some people call up last minute. I don't 'pencil' people in, so if I'm free I'm free and you can book me. It's easy to predict when the busy periods will be, but it's harder to predict when I'll get booked up for those periods.
